WHY RECRUITMENT WEDNESDAY 💝🫧

Hear from Cadey Logue (PC ‘25) as to why she chose to go through recruitment!

“Leaving high school, I felt like someone who was a floater. Someone who knew everyone and was friends with everyone but never found her group. I remember sitting in one of my senior classes talking to some of the other girls and our teacher. Everyone was talking about this thing they called ,’recruitment.’ I knew what a sorority was but never dove deep into what it meant to be in one. Everyone had gone around the circle talking about how they had signed up at their school and talked about the different sororities at their school. It then got to me and I was asked if i was going to go through recruitment. I decided why not, registered and decided to give it a try. I then look into the social medias of the girls in the different chapters and talked with them at different APSU events. I realized that being in a sorority wasn’t about having a name or title. It’s about finding a group of women that love and support you in your highest of highs and your lowest of lows. It’s about having a support group through one of the most difficult time periods of your life (college😜). I went through recruitment with the hope of finding these things and I am so thankful that my dream became a reality. Thank you AOII for becoming my home away from home!“

“Coming into college I was nervous about making new friends, especially since I don’t live on campus and knew it might be harder to meet people. Going through recruitment felt like a good way to put myself out there and step outside of my comfort zone. I wanted to find a group of girls I could lean on and build a support system with, while also finding a way to get more involved on campus. Even though it was a little intimidating at first, going through recruitment is one of the best decisions I’ve made!”

“My entire life, I never saw myself going through recruitment. The summer after graduation I decided that I would go through to at least meet new people and try to make friends. Coming 2 and a half hours from home knowing practically no one, was so scary to me.
