More momentum for SmartPod®—and more states putting SMART SAFETY FIRST into action.

After recent DOT approvals in Oregon, Texas, and Maryland, we’re excited to share that as of May 2026, Georgia and Florida have joined the growing list of states approving SmartPod for use statewide.

In Florida, SmartPod is now listed on FDOT’s PATH Approved Products List under Crash Cushions, MASH TL-3 (APL 544-001-007). Built for real-world protection, SmartPod is MASH TL-3 tested and designed to help keep motorists and crews safer in permanent roadside applications.

Son Ngo, our Director of Engineering, attended the Ohio Traffic Safety Summit earlier this week, where transportation leaders and safety professionals came together to discuss efforts aimed at improving roadway safety across the state.

One initiative highlighted during the summit was Ohio’s new “Project Plan Ahead” program, which offers up to $15 in rideshare credits during Memorial Day weekend to help reduce impaired driving in participating urban counties.
