Women's Glee Club at The Ohio State University

Women’s Glee Club is having our Spring Concert this Sunday, April 24th at 3:00pm!

Presented at North Broadway United Methodist Church, this concert is free and open to the public! This is a perfect chance to take a break from studying for finals and come listen to some of the talent OSU has to offer!

Our concert focuses on themes of beauty, the unknown, contemporary challenges, and optimism. Pieces are sung in English, Latin, and Chinese. Selections by Gjeilo, Rheinberger, MacIntyre, The Staves, and our very own Dr. Su Xin , among many others!

University Chorus will also be performing their selections, as this is a joint concert! It’s a perfect opportunity to hear a couple of OSU’s amazing choirs!

Gather your friends and family and come see Women’s Glee in concert! We hope to see many of you there!

Opera Theater at Ohio State is putting on “Sweets by Kate” this weekend! And some of our current and past Women’s Glee Members are in the show, along with our Graduate Assistant! Come see your current Glisters Ruth Peart in the role of Elizabeth Brigmann and Isabella Gabriel in the role of Denise and Assistant Director! Also, our Graduate Assistant, Bram Wayman is the Choral Master/Coach for this performance!

Last Tailgate of 2021 + Alumni!

We had such an amazing time singing for everyone today! It was great to see some familiar faces, as today was the alumni tailgate! It was wonderful to have 3 of our past WGC Presidents with us today, as well! We love and appreciate all of our glisters, past and present! Time and change will surely show, how firm thy friendship… OHIO ❤️

Women’s Glee Club is having our Fall Concert this Sunday, November 14th at 5:30pm!

It’s our first post-COVID concert with an audience – what an exciting opportunity! Presented at North Broadway United Methodist Church, this concert is free and open to the public!

Our concert focuses on themes of death, birth and life, sung in Latin, French and English. Selections by Orbán, Hagenberg, Chausson/Valverde, Boykin, Erlewine/Brown among others.

University Chorus will also be performing their selections, as this is a joint concert! It’s a perfect opportunity to hear a couple of OSU’s amazing choirs!

Today’s spotlight falls on the beautiful Jessie Murray! She is a freshman Mechanical Engineering major here at OSU and a first year member of WGC as an Alto 2! In her free time Jessie likes to play volleyball, hang out with friends, make smoothies and of course spend time with her pup! Thank you for letting us get to know you this semester Jessie, here’s to all the future ones to come!

✨Member Spotlight✨
Today’s member spotlight features Sam Giusto! Sam is a third year pre optometry student here at OSU, majoring in Biology. When Covid isn’t a barrier, she can often be found shadowing or volunteering at optometry clinics. In addition to singing with WGC and volunteering, Sam also enjoys writing! Last year did a publication with the Wex on different dance exhibitions that came through Columbus. Sam is a true multitalented Queen, and we are so blessed to have her in our club!

Happy Election Day! We hope everyone is maintaining a healthy mind space this week, practicing self care strategies like spending time with pets!
Which leads us to today’s member spotlight, the beautiful Carlie Platt! Carlie is a music education major, a member of Chorale and a second year soprano II WGC section leader! In addition to being a wonderful musician, she also enjoys activism, dancing, baking and spending time with doggos. Congratulations Carlie on a fantastic senior recital this past Sunday and thank you for sharing your talents with us!
