Phi Mu at TN Tech - Kappa Pi

Phi Mu at TN Tech - Kappa Pi Phi Mu is an organization for women who uphold the high values of Love, Honor, and Truth. Becoming a sister of Phi Mu involves two aspects, service and social.

Founded in 1852, Phi Mu is a women's organization which provides personal and academic development, service to others, commitment to excellence and lifelong friendship through a shared tradition. Phi Mu promotes vibrant living, encouraging members to achieve their personal best. Kappa Pi Chapter of Phi Mu was founded at Tennessee Technological University on October 24, 1969. Concerning the service

side of the fraternity is their national philanthropy Children's Miracle Network. The local chapter also supports Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Phi Mu raises money for these philanthropies through Bonnamu, a concert event based loosely on Bonnaroo Music Festival. The first day is a corn hole tournament with hotdogs and food. The second day is a concert where organizations on campus play live music.

Last week was one we’ll never forget!!

We were so honored to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and spend such a special week with the most inspiring kids! A Big Thank you to the most amazing kids & their families for being our concert judges, telling us your inspiring CMNH testimonies and filling our every moment of Bonnamu with so much joy! You are the heart behind everything we do! 💌

Huge shoutout to our incredible .burch for bringing this entire week to life!! We couldn’t have done it without your hard work and dedication!

& to our amazing sister , thank you for sharing your beautiful voice and making the concert even more meaningful.

Why Exec Wednesday 🎀

Hi!!! My name is Emerson Crutcher, and I’m an Elementary Education major from Chattanooga, TN!

Being a part of Phi Mu has truly encouraged me to step out of my shell and grow in ways I never imagined. Before coming to TTU, I was much more shy and less outgoing than I am now, but this chapter has helped me become the confident young woman I’ve always wanted to be.
I have always felt called to lead and to do more for the people around me, and this platform allows me to do just that. The love and support I’ve received from my sisters have given me the confidence to follow that calling and step into leadership, and it means so much to be able to serve in this role.
Phi Mu has shown me what true sisterhood looks and feels like, and I will always be so grateful for each and every girl in this chapter, this sisterhood has truly made such a lasting impact on my life. LIOB 🩷
