Magical Garden Preschool

Magical Garden provides a structured, play-based day for children 2.5-5 years of age. Our curriculum is inspired by waldorf education, with best practices from other educational philosophy mixed in. Our teacher is California state credentialed, a University graduate with many successful years of teaching from private pre-k to community college levels. We are a licensed Marin child care facility (

#214200034) with a dedicated preschool room. The yard has a lawn,swing,sandbox, playhouse, herb garden, pet rabbit enclosure, etc. We are a certified "Eco-Healthy Childcare" by the Children's Health Network. Inside, there are beautiful toys of natural sources, a piano, musical instruments, a book nook, etc. The simple, open-ended toys of the playroom become castles, trains, ships. Fine motor development occurs daily through planned activities, such as cutting, painting, baking, hammering. Our curriculum cycles last 2-3 weeks each: Harvest, Halloween, Giving Thanks, Christmas, Hannukah, Snow, Lunar New Year, Love, Spring, Seeds, Water. We have a Eurythmy (movement) class once per week taught by Assja Stefanek. Children at Magical Garden are known, loved and nurtured, wherever they are on the developmental path. Only six children per day attend, making the group a close-knit family.
