Meet Dana, our Philanthropy Chair and PSFC Liasion! Dana is a 4th year in the Animal Science and joined Sigma Alpha in Spring 2019 as a part of the Alpha Upsilon class. After graduating, she will apply to vet school and hopes to get into one! In the meantime, she plans to continue her work as a veterinary assistant at the local clinic.
In her free time, Dana loves playing video games, watching movies, TV shows, and anime. She is also a big foodie who is open to trying any type of new food (even Texas Roadhouse!). In high school, Cal-Nev-Ha KIWIN'S was a big part of Dana’s life and she says that this is where she developed a passion for service and giving back to her community.
Dana joined Sigma Alpha to befriend more women who are as passionate for agriculture as she is! Although she did not have as much experience in ag prior to joining, Dana says that her sisters helped her develop the confidence that she needed to move forward in both her professional and academic pursuits.
Dana’s favorite part of Sigma Alpha is how supportive and understanding all of her sisters are. She is so grateful for all the sisters who have been there for her on those difficult college days and says that she does not know where she would be without all their support. 💗

We are so excited to present our annual fundraiser, Cow Patty Bingo! 🐮
This event is a game of luck! A cow from the UC Davis Feedlot will roam about a pen with a grid of 180 total squares marked off. The 1st and 2nd squares that the cow "deposits" a cow patty on will be the winning squares! The winning prize for 1st place is $150 and for 2nd place is $100. All of the names of those who purchased a square will then be put into a jar. Whoever's name is randomly drawn shall win a 3rd place prize of $50. Those that won 1st or 2nd cannot win 3rd place as well.

We are selling each square for $5 each, or three squares for $10. To purchase your square(s), fill out the google form below and submit your payment by June 3rd at 11:59 pm. Buy a square and you might be the lucky recipient of a cow patty!
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdyJqbbk2thWSGTQDDfMTmHcisHQsTCs09VmJ-VTM32D-uFLw/viewform

The fundraiser will be held on Friday, June 4th. You do NOT have to be present to win. The event will be available the day of through Facebook Live and will be posted on our Instagram later.

*Note: The names will be randomized in a grid of all the squares, so everyone has an equal chance of winning!
Good luck and thanks for supporting your local Sigma Alpha chapter! Feel free to DM us with any questions 😊
