Mental health matters every day, not just during May.

Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder to check in on the people around us, support one another, and take care of our own well-being too.

**Thank You from Abilities đź’™**

As the semester wraps up, we wanted to share that Abilities will be taking a pause for now. This wasn’t an easy decision, but one made with a lot of thought, care, and love for what we’ve built.

Abilities has always been more than a student organization—it’s been a community, a safe space, and a reminder that disability pride, advocacy, and connection matter. Even as we pause our official activities, the heart of Abilities lives on in all of us.

As I once said, *”Abilities will always be here—even if it’s not officially a student organization.”* And that couldn’t be more true.

Stepping down from the presidency and stepping away from Abilities was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make. This organization means the world to me, and I’ve poured so much of my heart into it. I’m so honored that I had the chance to serve as president—it’s been one of the most meaningful parts of my college experience. But as I head into my senior year, I know I need to focus on what’s best for me right now—while still holding onto the hope that Abilities will rise again in the future.

If anyone out there feels inspired to bring Abilities back, user score day user score 275 and I would be so happy to guide and support you however we can. The door is always open, and we’d love to see the next chapter unfold.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported us, shown up, and believed in what we’re doing. You’ve helped make this community what it is—and what it will always be.

With gratitude,
đź’™ Lily Berkow & The Abilities Team

We hope everyone had a great year so far at Adaptive Recreation. We have had so much fun playing power soccer, Bocce Ball, Hiking, Pickle Ball, Obstacle Courses, Hockey and more this semester. Thanks for the participation and everyone who joined. The adaptive recreation program has been a great outlet for inclusivity and community as well as fun and helping us Raiders stay active. Special shoutout to Sarah Faith who has been in the program since 2018 and who is graduating and has been amazing at helping lead and run activities. Another shout out to Atari for helping with equipment and running activities.

We know it has been a stressful semester. So Abilities is hosting a de-stress event in the Identity and Culture Center in the Student Union. We will be making stress balls and coloring. We are excited and hopeful people will be able to make it. Abilities is open to everyone. We strive to build a disability community for everyone that is inclusive. We will have more events coming up if you cannot make this one.
