During the Year 1 Fall Workshop, all the teams were given the opportunity to visit the Del Paso Heights Green Tech Mobility Hub. We had an amazing time learning about Gina’s hydrogen-powered EV car and some of the programs supported by the site. There is a CarShare program available to community members as well as a program called “Plan, Share, Go”. The CarShare program allows for a single community member to use one of the available EV vehicles up to 3 hours a day, 9 hours per week. The “Plan, Share, Go” program matches community members with high-use routes. The chosen community members will be drivers for the day, picking up community members from the mobility hub and other predetermined destinations and dropping them off at their destinations. Del Paso Heights has an unemployment rate of 8.8% compared to California at 5.5%. Gina and her team at Green Tech have worked tirelessly to provide clean transportation for the ethnically diverse community of Del Paso Heights and surrounding communities.
