Chadash Contemporary Dance Movement We are a professional dance theatre company, led by Founding Artistic Director, Kelly Archer.

The Hebrew verb Chadash comes from a primitive root word that means to be new; to rebuild-- renew, repair, and restore. Meet our Company Dancer- Veva Heilmann

Veva grew up in Denver, CO, with a love for ballet beginning at age 6. She attended Colorado Ballet Academy starting in 2013 and graduated from their Preprofessional program in 2025. Over her years of training, her love for dance grew to include many more styles which she pursued at intensives from Colorado Ballet, The Rock School, Nashville Ballet, Alvin Ailey, and Nacho Duato Academy. Veva participated in Chadash’s program, Colorado Dance Initiative from 2022-24, then becoming a Chadash apprentice from 2024-25. This is her first season as a company dancer with Chadash and she is beyond excited! Veva is also Chadash’s own Costume Designer and Coordinator. She loves pursuing and combining multiple arts and skills in the same space.
Veva is also a teacher at Artistry Dance Movement, The Movement Project and is Colorado Ballet’s academy Assistant Rehearsal Director for the ballet’s productions that include academy students.

Meet our Company Dancer Morgan Cargas-
Morgan began dancing at age three in Pennsylvania, training in contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop. She danced on a nationally ranked hip-hop team and later earned a degree in Graphic Design from Kutztown University. Where she also lead and choreographed for the dance team, creating award-winning performances for NBA games and collegiate events. Now based in Lafayette, Colorado, Morgan co-owns The Movement Project, where she teaches and choreographs with a passion for helping young dancers build confidence and express themselves through movement.

About our Company Dancer- Katie Carothers
Katie grew up in Littleton, CO, where they received their primary training at Denver Academy of Ballet. Katie has also trained at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance and Alonzo King LINES Ballet, and spent a season as a trainee with State Street Ballet, and in 2023 graduated from CU Boulder with a BFA in dance. While in college, Katie pursued a BA in Psychology and took up grant writing to fund supplemental dance research. Katie was invited to perform with Cleo Parker Robinson’s second company in August 2023, and spent two seasons with Cleo II. This is Katie’s second season with Chadash.

About our Company Dancer- Diana Drummond
A native of Houston, Texas, Diana received her BFA from the University of Oklahoma. While at OU she had the opportunity to perform in works by Austin Hartel, Derrick Minter, and Mary Margret Holt. She has spent summers training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, River North Dance Chicago, and the American Dance Festival. After graduation, she had the pleasure of working with Esoteric Dance Project in Chicago, IL and The Big Muddy Dance Company in Saint Louis, MO. Since relocating to Denver she has had the opportunity to work with Chadash Contemporary Dance Movement, Cindy Brandle Dance Company, DAMAGEDANCE, Industrial Dance Alliance, Maureen Breeze Dance Theater, and Nosilla Dance Project.
