NASCAR weekend at the Monster Mile and Zeta Rho Lambda Chapter was in the building — and so were the shirts. They moved faster than Denny Hamlin in the final 30. The community showed up, supported the cause, and reminded us why we do this work. Big thanks to Dover Motor Speedway and Bally's Dover for the opportunity. The chapter's work doesn't stop when the green flag drops — every shirt sold is fuel for the mission.

For nearly 120 years, Alpha Phi Alpha has stood at the vanguard of advocacy, leadership, and service. Today was no different.

Today, Brothers from across the State of Delaware took our legacy to Legislative Hall in Dover, DE — gathering for the Third Annual Alpha Day at the Capitol.

Brothers from Gamma Theta Lambda, Gamma Sigma, Zeta Rho Lambda, and Xi Omicron Chapters came together to engage lawmakers and discuss the issues that matter most to our communities. Advocacy and civic engagement aren't new to us — they are woven into the very fabric of who we are.

We are humbled that the 153rd General Assembly passed Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 178, officially recognizing today as Alpha Phi Alpha Legislative Day in Delaware. We don't take that lightly — and we won't let it just be a title.

A heartfelt thank you to Majority Leader Kerri Evelyn Harris, and Brother Senator Darius Brown for hosting us and making today possible.

This is the inheritance. This is the charge. This is Alpha Phi Alpha — First of all. Servants of all. We shall transcend all.

"If you can fill the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds' worth of distance run" — Brother J.C. Teague did that.

For ninety years, he did exactly that. The Zeta Rho Lambda Chapter mourns the passing of our Brother J.C. Teague with deep respect and abiding gratitude for the decades he gave to this fraternity, this community, and the people fortunate enough to know him.

Brother Teague carried himself with the quiet dignity that defines the best among us. He did not seek recognition — he simply showed up, year after year, and did what a Man of Alpha does.

We are grateful for his life. We are proud to call him our Brother. And we will not forget him.

Rest well, Brother Teague. You have answered the call to the Chapter of Sweet Rest — and you go there having run your minute well.

There goes an Alpha Man.

Not because he announces himself, but because his leadership is recognized by those who walk beside him.
Congratulations to Bro. Corbett Smith, nominated by his peers as the leader they would turn to when clarity, steadiness, and care are required.

This recognition reflects the essence of Alpha leadership: service rendered consistently, character demonstrated daily, and respect earned without demand.

This is what it looks like when leadership moves with purpose and others take notice.

Well done, Bro. Smith. We salute you.

Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind.

What a powerful and uplifting gathering at the 43rd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Breakfast.

We were honored to come together in faith, fellowship, and purpose—celebrating the enduring legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and recommitting ourselves to service, justice, and love for all mankind.

Our sincere thanks to The Honorable Lisa Blunt Rochester, United States Senator, and the Honorable Kyle Evans Gay, Lieutenant Governor of Delaware, for their presence and leadership, which helped make this morning especially meaningful.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our emcee, Bro. Larry Friend, who once again guided our hearts and minds with grace, clarity, and purpose.

We are deeply thankful to the Modern Maturity Center for their warm hospitality, and to the Central Delaware NPHC for their partnership and continued commitment to community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this tradition a joyful reflection of the beloved community—gathered, united, and moving forward together.

Today, the Men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Zeta Rho Lambda Chapter, stand in profound pride and solemn remembrance as the State of Delaware honors our late Brother, John E. Stevenson, by dedicating the John E. Stevenson Youth Center at Wharton Hall in his name.

Brother Stevenson—a Spring 2018 initiate of Zeta Rho Lambda who entered the Omega Chapter in 2021—devoted his life to lifting the spirits and shaping the futures of Delaware’s most vulnerable youth. His work was not just service; it was a ministry of compassion, discipline, guidance, and unwavering belief in the potential of every young person he touched.

This honor bestowed by our state is a testament to a life lived with purpose and a heart that beat for others.
And though our Brother now rests in Omega, his light has not dimmed—it echoes in every life he helped redirect, every child he encouraged, and every family he uplifted.

We miss him dearly.
We feel his absence.
And yet, his legacy continues to speak with a clarity and power that reminds us what it means to be an Alpha Man.

May this dedication stand forever as a symbol of his love, leadership, and lifelong commitment to service.
