Last week, roughly 200 new Spartans attended Academic Scholars Program Convocation. These first-generation college students are ready to make an impact on campus and beyond.

Join us in celebrating the incoming class of Academic Scholars.

They are 195 members strong; representing 15 different colleges and 57 majors; and hailing from 3 different countries, 13 U.S. states, and 103 Michigan cities.

We cannot wait to see the impact they make across campus. 💚

The Accelerating Connections and Excellence (ACE) program supports a cohort of incoming first-generation college students with the academic and social transition to Michigan State.

ACE members completed their first Honors-level college course during this year's summer bridge program while building a social network of first-generation peers.

These students are part of the Academic Scholars Program, initiated and operated by the MSU Honors College.
