Had this come up from time to time. At the peak of craftsmanship, these were hand shaped to make the center of the peak of the roof no matter where the fireplace was located. Even seen them built of to an angle several times.

House built approximately 1890, Watertown, Wi. Why did they twist the chimney?

Fog and icy conditions prevent me from walking the roof. Luckily drone usage allows me to still adequately survey the roof’s surfaces even in poor conditions.

Looks like we are expecting more interest rate drops this year starting in the next week or two possibly. With low inventory I have been hearing about buyers waiving their home inspection. This is worrisome to say the least.

On the electrical inspection is where I find a large amount of improper conditions.

Sub panel configuration is slightly different Than the main panel. A second panel or sub panel should have the neutral and ground terminals or bars isolated from each other, this is why the main circuit feed to the sub panel must have 4 wires, with a dedicated insulated wire for the neutral and a separate wire for the ground. All the ground wires bond back at the main panel together with the neutrals.

Kastle Electric Inc. Saving my ass today. After the dropped neutral debacle that he helped me troubleshoot last night resulting in com Ed service ticket on NYE. We ended up having a come Ed splice fail just at the same moment I was working on a new circuit in the house. Aaron will get you right!
