Domestic Violence Survivors Support It is a series of five group counseling sessions, facilitated through the use of ACCESS Program materials.

Dr. Krista Chronister, Ph.D., Faculty in Counseling Psychology at the University of Oregon founded The ACCESS Program: Advancing Career Counseling and Employment Support for Survivors of Domestic Violence. The ACCESS program is for social service providers, educators, and researchers who want to offer career and employment services to women survivors of domestic violence. The program considers the impact of women’s violence experiences, and addresses their specific vocational needs.

The 6 program objectives are: 1) Support women as they explore and identify their job and career interests. 2) Help women identify, develop, and use work-related skills. 3) Increase women’s use of technology to explore work and career opportunities. 4) Increase women’s knowledge of various work and career opportunities. 5) Help women identify and plan their short and long-term career goals. 6) Connect women with community resources and support networks.
