Meet Isabella Schiffler, a freshman at NDSU majoring in Animal Science on the pre-vet track!

This past summer, Isabella had the incredible opportunity to be a Princess Kay of the Milky Way finalist, where she was honored as a Top 3 finalist and received a scholarship.

She decided to run for Princess Kay to share her family’s dairy story and help bridge the gap between consumers and producers. Growing up on a dairy farm has shown Isabella how much hard work, passion and family go into agriculture, and she hopes to help others better understand where their food comes from and the people behind it.

Her experience as a Princess Kay finalist gave her opportunities to meet new people, share her passion for agriculture and represent the dairy community. The experience made her even more excited to continue advocating for agriculture and sharing her story.

Now, Isabella is excited to start her next chapter at NDSU, get involved on campus, meet new people and continue learning about animal science as she works toward her goal of becoming a large animal veterinarian!
