We exist to fight for the physical and spiritual freedom of the millions who are enslaved worldwide
Address

General information
In 2013, The Global Slavery Index said there are 29.8 million people trapped in modern slavery worldwide. Human Trafficking: "the act of recruiting, harboring, transporting, providing, or obtaining a person for compelled labor or commercial sex acts through the use of force, fraud, or coercion." (US State Department) We are students that are broken-hearted and want to fight for these people that can't fight for themselves. It doesn't matter that we aren't in India, where there is the the highest amount of enslaved people. We can make a difference now. Abroad and locally. It starts now, with our voice and our advocacy for people enslaved. As an RSO on the University of Arkansas campus, we are trying to spread the word about standing up for trafficked people as well as raising money to bring those people to a place of freedom and redemption. In previous years we have partnered with an organization called Tiny Hands International (http://www.tinyhandsinternational.org), who works in rescuing people from the regions in and around Nepal. Tiny Hands works in 4 different areas: Education and Awareness, Aftercare, Prosecution, and Investigation. This year, we are shifting our focus to a local cause here in Fayetteville. Our partners, Magdalene Serenity House is in the process of renovating a home for women who have survived lives of abuse, addiction, human trafficking, and prostitution. Funds raised through our events will go towards the healing and recovery of these women. Stay posted for events coming up Fall 2015 and Spring 2016!
