We’re excited to host our upcoming Stop the Bleed training sessions presented by the IUN Student Nurses Association! Learn a life-saving skill that anyone can use in an emergency. Details for the event are listed on our flyer.

Come join the IUN Student Nurses Association (SNA) for a FREE Stop the Bleed training event!

🩸 At this event, you will learn essential life-saving skills, including:
• How to recognize life-threatening bleeding
• How to provide immediate bleeding control
• How to respond effectively until emergency responders arrive

🕊️ In Loving Memory

The Indiana University Northwest Student Nurses Association joins our community in honoring the life and legacy of Rylee Hanson.

Rylee was known for her compassion, leadership, and the light she brought into every room. Her dedication to serving others — both through her work as an EMT and her commitment as an IUN student — reflects the very heart of healthcare.

Though she was not a nursing student, Rylee embodied the values we strive for every day: service, kindness, and putting others first. Her impact will be felt far beyond the moments we shared with her.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, coworkers, and the EMS community.

Rest easy, Rylee. You will always be remembered. 🕊️

Our very own Dr. Stephanie Baranko and officers Jacob Stewarts, Inshallah Sheriff along with Alumni Annie Zhang travelled down to the Capital of Indianapolis to represent our School of Nursing at the 2026 Regionals at Rotunda.

They presented their research on Health Disparities: Mortality Rates and Disease Prevalence within Lake and Porter Counties to fellow students and instructors within our regional campuses, and Indiana State Legislators.

We hope to once again have this awesome opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with the members of our beautiful regional campuses!

A day full of learning, leadership, networking, and reminders of why we chose nursing in the first place.
