MALES Men Achieving Leadership Excellence & Success

MALES Men Achieving Leadership Excellence & Success A brotherhood that fosters inclusive professional and personal development opportunities to young men
within a campus and community environment. Tarome Alford.

M.A.L.E.S was founded in 1997 on the campus of Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, Connecticut by Brother Ed Joyner (New Haven, Connecticut) and Brother Marvin Moore (Bridgeport, Connecticut) with the help of our organization's first two advisors: Mr. Michael Momparler & Mr. We also pay homage to the pledge-maker of M.A.L.E.S., Lt. Derrick McBride, who established the official M.A

.L.E.S. pledge. There exist to be over 15 chapters founded mostly at colleges and universities along the East Coast. One major event that this organization is known for is its Women’s Appreciation Dinner which is held every year toward the end of the month of March. The Michigan Alumni chapter of Men Achieving Leadership, Excellence and Success, also known as, M.A.L.E.S., was chartered in the fall of 2016 (Thursday, October 06, 2016). This chapter, chartered by these five young professionals, was created to allow the opportunity for formally educated, college men who desired the opportunity and platform to give back to mankind among like-minded brothers. Moreover, with having chartered the second junior M.A.L.E.S. chapter at the River City Scholars Charter Academy (Southeast Grand Rapids, Michigan USA), the first being in Connecticut, Bro. Landy saw the need to have more like-minded men to help in that ‘movement.’
