The scavenger hunt, known as “Find the Glass,” consists of about 50 pieces of glass hidden in parks and on trails around the county, with three or four new pieces hidden every weekend from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

A proposed amendment to the City of Johnstown’s charter that would ban large data centers has gathered enough signatures to move forward for a vote, but the petition arrived so close to the deadline for the ballot that the amendment likely will not appear on the ballot during the Nov. 3 election.

The deadline for Johnstown City Council to approve the issue is Friday, Sept. 4 – just days after the Board of Elections certified signatures.
