On this day 112 years ago, the First International President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, IncorporatedĀ®, Nellie M.!Quander stood on business for another First.

Quander led the charge to make Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, the First sorority in United States to be incorporated! As the Principle Incorporator, her vision secured our legacy, protection, and perpetuity, ensuring that AKA would thrive for generations to come.

Because of her bold leadership, we continue leading, serving, and setting the standardā€”117 years strong and counting!
