Barry Bradford, Director of Tangipahoa Parish Library System, was the honored guest speaker and inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Southeastern chapter with nearly fifty Southeastern student inductees.
Mr. Bradford gave an inspirational speech centering in the love of learning. Welcome to one of our newest, honored member:
Barry Bardford is a native of Alabama, born in Birmingham but with roots in the red clay counties north of Mobile. He received his B.A. in History from the University of Alabama, and a Master of Divinity from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In 1991 he earned his Master of Library and Information Science from LSU. Barry has worked for the New Orleans Public Library, and the Chattanooga Public Library. He became Director of the Tangipahoa Parish Library system in 2008.

Phi Kappa Phi sponsored the post-show talkback with the playwright and the real people of the play After a celebration at the Katrina/Rita Memorial Fountain last night for Southeastern Theatre’s “Katrina’s Path” running every night through this Saturday at 7:30 in D Vickers Studio 1048. Free for SLU students tickets at door $15-20.

Last night we celebrated the accomplishments of new Phi Kappa Phi members at our Spring induction ceremony in the Student Union Theater Guest speaker, Professor Cristina Molina of Visual Arts + Design, gave an inspirational speech on the power of art to build and positively transform communities. We were honored to have President Wainwright observe the honors bestowed on these stellar students.
