As a distinctly confessional institution, New Aberdeen is the choice for Protestant students looking for a liberal arts and humanities degree in the Southeast, located in a metropolitan area with supportive churches and employers.

"Some things about great books colleges are easiest to explain in the negative. They do not have lectures or large classes. They do not have in-class tests. They do not have very many elective courses, as undergraduates will follow a mostly set sequence of courses and readings, a sequence they will share with all their peers. They do not have majors; most great books colleges only offer bachelor’s degrees in 'liberal arts' or some similar title.
