International Refugee Assistance Project at UConn Law IRAP Chapter - UConn Law School The world is currently facing the worst refugee crisis since World War II.

A recent UNHCR Report found that 65.3 million people were displaced from their home due to persecution and conflict in 2015. The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) is an international organization aimed at alleviating this global problem. The core mission is to provide legal assistance to vulnerable refugees as they apply for resettlement, as well as to advocate for policy changes. Mo

The UConn Chapter of IRAP is a group of dedicated law students that works closely with, but independent of, the national organization. The UConn Chapter, under the supervision of volunteer attorneys, represents individual refugee resettlement cases that were screened and assigned by the National Organization.
