Nā Leo Kāne Collaborative is a community initiative in Hawaii focused on expanding the conversation of what it means to be a man.

We are committed to prevent violence and promote healthy relationships with ALOHA. Na Leo Kane Hou is a community initiative in Hawaii focused on reconnecting men's voices as sons, brothers, fathers, partners, teachers, and mentors to prevent domestic and sexual violence by discovering authentic masculinity and to promote healthy relationships and communities. The goal is to bring together like-mi

nd community organizations and community members to share best practices and to collaborate on projects. The participating organizations include Hawaii State Department of Health Maternal & Child Health Branch, Hawaii State Department of the Attorney General Community & Crime Prevention Branch, University of Hawaii PAU Violence Program Warriors Against Violence Everywhere (WAVE), Hawaii Army National Guard, Hawaii Air National Guard, United States Army SAPR Program, Domestic Violence Action Center's TAP808, Sexual Abuse Treatment Center, and Ala Kuola.

This past week was International Men’s Day, a time to honor the contributions of men and acknowledge the challenges they continue to face. For Na Leo Kāne, this day aligns with our mission to support men in Hawaiʻi as they navigate identity, relationships, mental health, healing, and growth. It reminds us to recognize the men who show up for their families and communities with strength, creativity, care, and quiet courage.

As we reflect on International Men’s Day, take a moment for yourself or reach out to someone you care about. Check in on a friend, encourage a health visit, or share a story about a man who shaped you. Small actions can spark meaningful change. Mahalo for being part of this movement to uplift men’s well-being across Hawaiʻi.
