Hoboken is getting HUUGE. I think its important that the city improve it's infrastructure to match the increase in population that we have been seeing. We need more road lights to be timed using sensor stripping on the ground that detects when cars are coming and changes the light. We need better bike infrastructure that puts bike "super-lanes" on certain streets that can handle them and allows for that road to feed bikes all through the city. We need to build better parks that meet our residents demands. We need to improve the multi service center and create a multi floor, actual multi use building that meets the needs of today's residents. However, we must not forge the past and we need to incorporate usable city space that can be reserve by active groups around town. We need to acquire and turn Union Dry Dock into a gem for this city that allows our residents the best use of the Waterfront for generations to come. We need to work with Stevens to integrate and improve our local school district. We have an amazing University in our backyard that needs to be utilized to help educate and hopefully drive our younger residents to do great things. We need to preserve the history of our town and the buildings that line our streets. We have to encourage and push residents to have green homes (Solar panels on roofs and green roofs) that conserve electricity. We need to encourage residents to rehabilitate old buildings rather than tear down and rebuild. We need to encourage multi family homes versus large scale developments that close communities off from one another. Hoboken needs to do a lot int he coming years and I hope that the city government going forward is prepared and able to lead the way. We are all pulling for y'all to be successful. If you are successful our town is successful and so are we. Hoboken is not Jokin!!!
