*** Pennsylvania Invasive Species: Emerald Ash Borer ***

The emerald ash borer (EAB) (Agrilus planipennis) has devastated ash tree populations across North America, leaving lasting ecological and management challenges. This webinar will examine the current status of EAB and consider whether the pest is truly β€œgone,” while highlighting what we know about surviving ash and fringetree populations. Participants will also gain insight into the hazards posed by dead and falling ash trees, management strategies for landowners and communities, and the latest research on ash regeneration and EAB persistence, valuable knowledge for those concerned with forest health and resilience.

Pennsylvania Invasive Species: Two-Spotted Cotton Leafhopper

The two-spotted cotton leafhopper (Amrasca biguttula) is an emerging insect pest with the potential to impact agricultural and specialty crop systems. This webinar will explore its origin and introduction, current distribution and spread in the United States, identification features, biology, management considerations, and recent research to support early detection and informed decision-making.

Pennsylvania has identified over 250 invasive plants, insects, pathogens, and animals that significantly impact the environment and agricultural production, causing hundreds of millions of dollars in economic losses each year. The Pennsylvania Invasive Species Webinar Series is dedicated to addressing this critical issue.

**Northern Tier Beef Meeting: Frozen Assets and Calf Success**

Join Penn State Extension Livestock Educators for two informative, research-based presentations designed to help producers improve herd health and breeding outcomes.

In the **Frozen Assets** session, Educator Mattie Horchler will provide live demonstrations to explain the fundamentals of semen tank management, proper handling techniques, and effective practices that minimize uncertainty and enhance breeding success.

In the **Calf Success** session, Educator Dustin Heeter will lead participants through established best management practices that improve beef calf health, performance, and long-term productivity. This program offers timely, hands-on instruction to empower producers to make informed and confident decisions for their operations.
