From engineer and U.S. Army Reserve officer to future orthopedic surgeon, Anthony Eshareturi took a nontraditional path to medicine — one shaped by service, resilience and family.

At the Texas A&M School of Engineering Medicine (EnMed), he combined engineering and patient care while helping develop technology to improve surgical planning — all while raising four children during medical school.

Now, he’s preparing to begin his orthopedic surgery residency at Houston Methodist Hospital.
