Founded in 1990, our mission is to build women by leading them to Christ and equipping them to impact the world through Sisterhood, Education, Evangelism, Discipleship, and Service. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building women by leading them into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Inspired by Philippians 2:2, our vision is to embody love, unity, and purpose through sisterhood. Our Mission

What began as a moment of spiritual transformation in 1990 grew into a movement. Founded by Tyesha Elam, Amanda Tezeno, Dawn Walton, and Terra Delaney, Alpha Lambda Omega Christian Sorority, Inc. was born to foster growth, faith, and service among women of all walks of life.

“If God is so good… why does my life hurt this badly?”

That’s not an easy question. And sometimes, the hardest seasons of our lives bring questions that a quick Christian cliché simply cannot answer.

For today’s Word Wednesday, our Soror invites us to bring those questions into the open.

What happens when you’re affected by someone else’s trial? Why do we see Jesus intervene differently in different people’s stories? And who helps us remember what is true about God when our pain makes it difficult to remember for ourselves?

We may not be able to promise that everything hurting will immediately be fixed.

But we can remind one another that God does not leave us to carry it alone. 💜

Tomorrow, we’re going deeper.

Where is God when life hurts?

Sometimes faith comes with difficult questions.

Grief hurts. Heartache hurts. Loss hurts. And being a woman of faith doesn’t mean we have to pretend otherwise.

But Scripture gives us something powerful to hold onto in those moments:

“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 (NIV)

God doesn’t ask us to deny our pain in order to trust Him. This Thursday, we’re creating space to talk about what it means to understand the goodness and presence of God even when life doesn’t feel good.
