Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Association is an international honor organization at the University of Houston that provides academic scholarships and an introduction to UH transfer students. Chartered in July 2006, the alumni chapter is here to assist Phi Theta Kappa students in the transfer process and provide outreach and information to future cougars involved with Phi Theta Kappa at their community co
lleges. Phi Theta Kappa alumni carry on the tenets of Phi Theta Kappa: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Fellowship. The Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Association at the University of Houston can help make your transferring into a new school easier. The alumni association provides great outreach for incoming Phi Theta Kappans: Not only are we here to answer questions about student life, we also have hte connections to advisors to help you decide your major and what classes are going to transfer. We want you to enjoy being a Phi Theta Kappa Cougar! Benefits: First time UH transfer students whoa re members of PTK at their community college are eligible to apply for the $1,200, non-renewable award. Applicants must have completed a minimum of 45 transferable credits at a community college and must be working toward their first bachelors degree. Scholarships are awarded for both the fall and spring semesters. International students are also eligible to apply for the transfer scholarship.
