15 years ago today - Darren was called home to God. While heaven shines a little brighter, here it's a little less bright.

We miss him dearly and know he is watching over us.

The silver lining is that we keep Darren's memory alive with tennis camp and college scholarships.

So if you're playing tennis today - swing one for Darren. If you're not playing tennis raise a glass and toast him and say "thank you for the wonderful times we had". Remember we will see him again.

Over the 15 years we have awarded over $77,000 college scholarships and 38 camp scholarships.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to keep Darren's memory alive! Hook'em 🤘

For those that have attended the Darren Lajaunie Memorial Tennis Tournaments, we are sad to report that Laura Lajaunie, affectionally known as Granny, passed away Saturday evening. She was 84.

She was a huge supporter of her son, Darren's Memorial scholarship fund and was out there obtaining silent auction items and donations for the Scholarship Fund.

She never played tennis but always loved watching players come out and play in the tournaments.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald and son Kelly, his wife Laura Gross and daughters Sydney and Kylie. Also survived by daughter in law Camille Lajaunie and grandson Andrew.

We know that she is now with the Lord and her son Darren in heaven. They both are missed!

Viewing and Funeral will be Friday, August 22 at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church beginning with the viewing at 10AM, mass at 11AM and burial at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster.

In lieu the family has asked that donations be made in Laura's memory to the Darren Lajaunie Tennis Scholarship Fund, 3106 Mossy Elm Court, Houston, TX 77059.
