The IUPUI Psychology Department has 2 very active student organizations. They work and meet together to provide opportunities for students to get involved. Some of the things they have done in the past are bring in speakers, hold graduate school panels, sponsor research presentations, and provide service such as Race for the Cure and Lunch Buddies with IPS. To find meeting times, see the Notes sec
tion on the IUPUI Psychology page. Psychology Club
The IUPUI Psychology Club is a student organization that focuses on providing opportunities for psychology students to learn more about the study of psychology, meet IUPUI's psychology faculty, and interact with other psychology students with similar interests. Psi Chi
Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and who meet the minimum qualifications. The 2 organizations meet 5 to 6 times a month during the fall and spring semesters. Come to a meeting or visit the Events section on the IUPUI Psychology page to get involved. Other helpful services provided by the Psychology Department include academic advising, career services, a resource center, and a testing center. Psychology majors at IUPUI are serious…and seriously excited about science!
