A civil rights giant and Mississippi native, Evers risked everything to demand dignity, equity, and truth. His legacy is not only written in the history books but also etched into the moral fabric of this country. Jackson, Mississippi remembers and honors him today.

This is part of a large weekend celebration for 601 Day!

🌀🌀🌀Only three days away!!! The very first Briarwood Unity 2K Run is taking place on Sunday, June 1st at 8:30am. Register at the link in our bio to run, walk, volunteer, etc. We need people placed at the water stations along the route to make sure that people stay hydrated. Check-in starts at 8am at the front desk of Briarwood Arts Center and the run starts at EXACTLY 8:30am.

Following the run, from 3pm-6pm, we’re hosting a block party and donation drive for the Siegel Suites.

Donations including but not limited to:
Non-perishable food
Clothes
Free haircuts
Contraceptives
Toiletries
Detergent pods
Feminie hygiene products
