Twenty-five years ago, September 11, 2001 changed our nation forever. Today we pause to honor the lives lost at the Pentagon, the World Trade Center, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and to remember the bravery of the first responders and service members, including our own sorors, who answered the call.

We will never forget the actions of that day and the impact on our nation. We carry forward the memories of the lives lost, honoring their legacy through how we choose to live and serve.

The Jacksonville (NC) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in partnership with St. Julia A.M.E. Zion Church, brought our community together for an afternoon centered on voter education, engagement, empowerment, and action, which aligned with our chapter theme: ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐œ๐ญ. ๐„๐ง๐ ๐š๐ ๐ž. ๐ˆ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ญ.

A special thank you to our guest speaker, ๐‹๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ฌ ๐’๐ž๐ข๐ฃ๐จ ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฆ๐จ๐œ๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ฒ ๐๐‚, for sharing valuable information and inspiring attendees to recognize the power of their voice and their vote. ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ
