Mizzou Association of Latin American Students ALAS caters to the Latin@ community at the university but is open to anyone who is interested in learning about Latin@ culture.

The Association of Latin@ American Students (ALAS), previously the Hispanic American Leadership Organization (HALO) was established in 1991 at the University of Missouri. This student-run organization strives to promotes cultural competency, raises awareness about Latin@ issues happening globally and on-campus. While creating a familia experience for all students; we function as a network and emot

ional support group towards the educational achievement and professional development for our members. Through meetings and events, we strive to look at the rich history of our culture.
