The LaCrosse Alumni Association regrets to announce that the annual Alumni Banquet, traditionally held on the Saturday of Father's Day weekend, has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict at the venue. The committee understands the disappointment this postponement may cause for those who look forward to this event each year, and apologize for any inconvenience it has caused. Once details have been finalized, the new date will be announced on the LaCrosse Alumni page and in The Regional News.

The LaCrosse Alumni Association held its annual banquet and dance on Saturday, June 17, at The Center of LaCrosse. This year’s honored classes included 2023, 2013, 2003, 1998, 1993, 1983, 1973, 1963, 1953, and all prior years. The event opened with social time from 5:00 to 6:30 as alumni gathered at The Center. People moved around from table to table, talking with people from classes all through the ages. The cash bar, tended by Joanie Bucher, Class of 1977, was open so people could grab a drink and sit around visiting. Justin Kiel of the Class of 2015 and president of the Alumni Association was the Master of Ceremony for the evening. After welcoming everyone that came out this year, Kiel gave an overview of the events planned for the rest of the evening. After a prayer led by Jim Sheely of the Class of 1967, it was time to eat the delicious buffet dinner prepared by Burkett’s Catering of North Judson.

After the meal concluded, the recipient of this year’s LaCrosse Alumni Scholarship was introduced. Lillie Cox was the honored speaker for the evening, sharing her winning essay about her favorite school memory. Next, some alumni were recognized and winners of prices were announced. After the winner of the 50/50 raffle was drawn and prize money awarded, the music commenced. People mingled around the room, reminiscing and reconnecting as they caught up on each other’s lives.

On Wednesday, May 31st, the Tiger Den filled with students, their families, teachers, and coaches for the 2023 Tri-Township High School Academic Awards Program. At this event, Justin Kiel, the president of the LaCrosse Alumni Association, presented one scholarship on their behalf. Through the fundraising efforts of the Alumni Association and the support of the community who have eaten Papa Farm Pizza for a good cause, the LaCrosse Alumni Association was able to provide a $500 scholarship to a senior pursuing higher education. This year's scholarship recipient is Lillie Cox, the daughter of Rodney and Amanda Cox. Lillie will receive her scholarship funds and be introduced at this year's Alumni Banquet, where she will read her winning essay.

All graduating Tri-Township seniors are encouraged to attend the LaCrosse Alumni Banquet, where they will be honored with free admission.
