Hey NHAG members! The National Endowment for the Humanities has two grant opportunities that might be right for your organization: Preservation Assistance Grants for Smaller Institutions and Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections.
The Preservation Assistance Grants are intended for small and mid-size institutions to improve their ability to care for and manage their humanities collections by funding assessments, consultations, trainings, purchase of supplies, and assistance developing policies and procedures. Up to $10,000. Applications due January 9, 2025.
Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections: This program offers three levels of funding for environmentally sustainable projects that improve preservation of humanities collections, reduce energy consumption, and strengthen an institutionโs ability to anticipate and respond to disasters. Ranges from $50,000-$350,000. Applications due January 10, 2025.

NEHโs Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections program is accepting applications through Jan. 10, 2025. This program helps cultural institutions preserve collections through environmentally sustainable preventative care strategies. Up to $350K, Implementation II; $100K, Implementation I; $50K.
