This weekend, I had the honor of representing UL NSBE while volunteering at Creole Culture Day at Vermilionville. ❤️⚜️

The experience was about much more than service. I had the opportunity to learn more about Louisiana Creole history, connect with community members, and gain a deeper appreciation for the culture and heritage that continue to shape Acadiana.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting Dr. Ernest W. Kinchen Jr., recipient of the 2026 Richard J. Catalon Sr. Creole Heritage Award. His legacy of leadership, service, and excellence serves as an inspiration to all of us striving to make a difference in our communities.

As engineers, students, and future leaders, it is important that we not only build the future but also honor the history and people who paved the way.

Thank you to Vermilionville and the organizers of Creole Culture Day for an incredible experience.

💛🎉 What an amazing day of service at Games of Acadiana 2026! 🎉💛

I had the opportunity to volunteer, connect with families from across Acadiana, and meet some incredible people who are dedicated to making a difference in our community. 🙌🏽❤️

A special thank you to Councilman Kenneth Boudreaux 🤝🏽 for taking the time to speak with me. I truly enjoyed our conversation and look forward to building a relationship that creates opportunities for collaboration between UL NSBE and our community. 🚀🖤💛

As President of UL NSBE, moments like these remind me that leadership is about more than serving your organization 🤟🏽it’s about serving your community, building meaningful partnerships, and creating pathways for the next generation of engineers and leaders. 📚⚙️🌟

Day 1 of the Summer Orientation Registration Expo was a success! 🎉🖤💛❤️💚

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the UL NSBE table, asked questions, signed up, and showed interest in joining our family for the 2026–2027 year! We loved meeting incoming students and sharing what NSBE is all about. ✨

We’re excited for a year full of leadership, networking, service, professional growth, and unforgettable memories. This is only the beginning! 🚀

NSBE x LAGCOE today was a reminder that representation matters. 💛
Being able to pour into the next generation through STEM, creativity, and mentorship at Dr. Raphael Baranco Elementary was such an amazing experience.
