Calling All Volunteers

Our Chapter's largest event every year is our annual Freshmen Send Off, which will be taking place on Sunday, July 19th at the Fairfield Recreation Complex in Fairfield. This event is for incoming students and their families. It includes food, games, raffles, breakout groups, and much more.

As this is one of our largest events, we depend greatly on our volunteers to help with a variety of different tasks the day of. We are in need of proud alums, Penn State parents, and current students.

The tasks include the following:

Replenishing the food & cold drinks
Mingling with students and their families
Setting up tables & chairs
Facilitating games
Clean Up
Leading student breakout groups
Aiding with raffles

Night With the Somerset Patriots

Please join us on Saturday evening August 1st for our annual Night with the Patriots 'baseball and BBQ' vent. The Patriots will be playing against the Richmond (VA) Flying Squirrels (AA farm team of the San Francisco Giants). Tickets for this event will be $40 per person, which covers entry to the game, a fantastic all-you-can-eat BBQ dinner before the game, and an amazing postgame fireworks show.

Menu for the BBQ dinner:
Hot Dogs
Hamburgers
Pulled Pork
Veggie Burgers
Potato Chips
Macaroni & Cheese
Cole Slaw
Epic Cookies
Assorted self-serve fountain soft drink (does not include bottled water)
Condiment bar consisting of: ketchup, mustard, American cheese, hot chili, hot cheese sauce, and Tabasco hot sauce

Other Details:
This is a family event; bring the kids!
The Patriots play at TD Bank ballpark, exit 13 off I-287.
Gametime is 7:05PM, BBQ dinner begins at 6PM; please plan to arrive at 5:45PM to allow time for parking, then our group should meet at the main gate area so tickets can be distributed prior to going inside.
