Preventing Amputations in Veterans Everywhere (PAVE) — is a Veterans Health Administration program focused on preventing or delaying amputations through early identification and treatment of Veterans who may be at risk.

Through PAVE, multidisciplinary VA teams work together to provide specialized care throughout a Veteran’s health care journey.

The New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services (NMDVS) is sharing important weather and flooding information from the New Mexico VA Health Care System for veterans, caregivers and families.
With current weather conditions affecting parts of New Mexico, please stay aware of changing conditions and follow guidance from local emergency officials.

Use trusted sources for flooding preparedness and response information, including the American Red Cross, the National Weather Service, and New Mexico emergency management resources. The VA also provides disaster assistance information and resources for veterans here: https://www.va.gov/resources/disaster-help/

Please see the information below regarding current flooding concerns in the Ruidoso and Lincoln County area, including evacuation and reunification shelter information and sandbag distribution locations.
