Hi everyone, the library is teaming up with the Historic Preservation dept & many volunteers at the Comanche Nation. We are starting our 1st Geneology Project. We are asking for any Comanche family trees or census records that you might have. We want to use them in our archives. We will copy them free of charge & give you the originals back. So far on my part alone my ancestors are those from Chief Silver Brooch; Chief Yellowfish; Chief Iron Mountain; Chief Lookingglass and Chief Ten Bears. Yea, I know I do come from a lot of war chiefs, I can’t help it. So, our main focus is to document our lineage. We will also be building a website that stores our geneology. You can contact the library at (580) 699-7226 or stop by at 1608 S. W. 9th, Lawton, Ok. We will have geneology appointments for Comanche Nation members Nov. 18-21 at the above address from 1-7. Hi all you beautiful people. Well yours truly made the Comanche Nation News. In this picture I am letting all my peeps know about all the good assistance that the library provides. We have computers, copy machines, tutor computers through Acellus Stem Labs, resume writing and so much more and it’s open to everybody, we don’t discriminate here.
