Hello Los Angeles Area Fiskites!!

I Hope everyone is doing well.

We will be having a meeting of the Los Angeles Fisk Alumni Club, on Tuesday evening, March 21st @ 7:30PM. Please add this to your calendars now to block out the time.

We are currently deemed as an INACTIVE Fisk Club by GAAFU due to non-payment of our Club Dues.

The reason you are receiving this notice from me, is because I am now the GAAFU Far West Regional Chair and in that position, I have oversight of our 2 California Fisk Alumni Clubs (LA and the Bay Area).

We certainly thank Moiro Poole for her leadership as well as the rest of the Executive team!

Taking it back to 2/5/22, when the Los Angeles Lakers announced this historic partnership with our Alma Mater! The L.A. Fisk Alumni Club was invited to witness history in the making, as the Fisk Jubilee Singers sang both the Nat’l Anthem, THE BLACK NATIONAL ANTHEM, AND offered some halftime spirituals for the Lakers vs. Knicks game. It was aMazing!

Many thanks to the Lakers DEI personnel and Dr. Karida Brown for this wonderful connection.
