Mid-Summer update with ambassador Anum!

Hey y’all! This summer I have had the opportunity to intern on Capitol Hill in DC through Texas Tech’s GPSIP (Government and Public Service Internship Program) for Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28). Being up close to everything The Hill has going on from hearings to behind-the-scenes staff work to Muslim-based networks has been the highlight of my experience so far. My favorite thing overall has been the variety of halal food the city has to offer!

Recently, I celebrated Eid with my dad, went to the Congressional Baseball game with fellow interns, attended the Red Line Protest at the White House, and connected with some mentors from Texas Tech!
