🏆⚽ A day to Celebrate Crimson Soccer! ⚽🏆

Yesterday, MGFC was proudly recognized at the Boys State Banquet as the Class 5AAA Section Champions, celebrating a season filled with hard work, commitment, and memorable moments.

This year's team has added another incredible chapter to the program's history by earning their spot in the State Tournament for the fifth consecutive year. Reaching state is never easy, and achieving it five years in a row is a testament to the culture, determination, and excellence that these players and coaches have built together.

The day also brought well-deserved recognition for two of our leaders. Congratulations to Captain Carter Mast on being selected to the Minnesota All-State 2nd Team, and to Captain Parker Carlson on earning All-State 1st Team honors and being named Minnesota Mr. Soccer. These individual accolades reflect not only their talent and leadership, but also the success of the team around them.

While we are proud of these honors, the story of this season is far from finished.

The Crimson now turn their attention to the State Quarterfinals, where they will take on St. Paul Central at White Bear Lake High School on Thursday, October 29 at 5:30 PM.

Let's fill the stands with Crimson pride and support this special group as they continue their state tournament journey!

Congratulations to MGFC Captain Parker Carlson on being named the 2026 AAA Mr. Soccer, becoming the first MGFC player since Chad Morse in 1998 to earn Minnesota's highest individual soccer honor.

At Sunday's state ceremony, Coach Justin Turner captured Parker's impact on the program:

"He will go down as one of the best to wear the MGFC jersey and has the chance to break the all-time scoring record this week."

In his acceptance speech, Parker humbly thanked God, his family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who supported him throughout his journey.

"I want to thank my teammates and coaches for never giving up on me and supporting me through the season."

Parker also reflected on what this moment means to him:

"I have had this dream ever since I started playing for Maple Grove. To be selected among these great players is an honor by itself."

Today, we celebrate not only an outstanding player, but an exceptional leader, teammate, and captain who has represented MGFC with excellence, humility, and pride.

We couldn't be prouder of all that you've accomplished, Parker. Congratulations on this incredible achievement. Your MGFC family is proud of you!
