Dr. David Che, our engineering program director, just participated in the ICFF in NYC. He saw great potential that engineering and design could intersect and grow together. IWU currently offers two career tracks for students interested in design engineering: mechanical design and civil engineering design (architectural/structural and/or geotechnical). The Design Engineering specialization at IWU prepares students to become innovative engineers who can tackle real-world challenges with a strong ethical foundation and a commitment to service. The program emphasizes the importance of creative design in engineering, encouraging students to synthesize solutions rather than just analyze problems. This unique approach aims to develop graduates who are not only technically skilled but also capable of making a positive impact in their communities and industries.
