It is safe to say all clear tonight! Tornado watch once again expires at 10 PM CDT, most of the severe threat is now further south towards our friends near the Tennessee and the Mississippi border. In the Ken-Tenn region though it’s noticeably cooler which will help prevent any convection further on tonight. Get some rest folks!

A tornado watch has been issued for all of West Tennessee including counties Obion, Weakley, Gibson, Carroll, and Henry until 10 PM CDT.

— Remember a watch means the environment is favorable to have conditions occur, not active. If a warning is issued get to a safe place on the lowest floor of an interior building, have multiple ways to receive warnings, and Do Not Rely on tornado sirens if a warning is issued. Instead have weather alerts turned on your phone if indoors. Tornado sirens are made for those outside to hear. Stay safe everyone!

Across our entire coverage area, conditions are now safe for the rest of the night. Tornado watch remains in effect until 5 AM however due to the line moving south I’m sure the watch will expire sooner. Fortunately the cap held on overnight causing storms to struggle with some development. As we move through the overnight hours, we’ll be left with periods of light thunder and areas of heavy rain.

Remember a watch means conditions are favorable not actively occurring, now would be a good time to check over your safe place make sure it’s accessible and have multiple ways to receive warnings throughout these next couple hours.
