Segment: Lay of the Land in Memphis, TN and Beyond Following The Supreme Court Ruling Regarding Section 2 of the 1965 Voting Rights Act

There are moments in life where reflection and thought are the preferred choice to ensure the reaction is as measured and balanced as possible.

In regards to the immediate gerrymandering that most Southern States decided to enact after the Supreme Court ruled against specific race based protections within the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

All I can conclude as a citizen of humanity is as follows:

1.) If no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Well, no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I am not religious by any stretch, but for those that are. I believe this scripture should settle it.

2.) Gerrymandering is a tool rooted in insecurity and scarcity mindset. It is also a tool that forces one to go into the mud because of the entire premise behind it being by design a rigging of the system either directly or in response to.

3.) Winning elections is still a viable option. Capitalism ensures the reality of have and have nots. More rural Tennesseeans and Urban Tennesseeans share similar socio-economic realities. They just don't realize it because they aren't in community nor communication with each other.

4.) In fact when these two communities are in communication with each other. It's usually hostile, rooted in ignorance, and fed by the world of chaos that the internet thrives off of because controversy plus ill-informed, plus isolation yields lucrative opportunities to exploit the made up divisions such as race.

5.) There is no black voice politically. There are issues that are uniquely impactful towards African-Americans, but the idea of a black voice or black representation politically isn't accurate.

Until there are resources specifically for black people such as a "black currency" which there probably never will be. There is only resource allocation rooted in behavior ie politics.

The resource allocation is based on the exploitative practice of capitalism. Have and Have Nots are the result.

But hey. This is just my opinion. What say you.

L.A. Lakers versus OKC Thunder
2nd Round of 2026 NBA Playoffs

In order for Los Angeles or any team to have a chance against the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder these are the areas of opportunity as follows:

1.) It's all about hooping. OKC is an elite defensive team. However 1 on 1 is where they aren't as elite.

Playing playground ball is how you make OKC look normal as opposed to an swarm of hornets.

Austin Reeves, Luke Kenard, Marcus Smart, Jake LaRavia, LeBron James all have to take it back to their AAU days or their Summer League days.

This is a team that is susceptible to a "bag."

2.) A true point guard is a must against OKC. The point guard must be a triple threat, must be able to make key assists, finish at the rim, shoot the long ball, and break down defenses 1 on 1. A true point guard also makes Shai have to work on the defensive end which helps to slow down that Bugatti just a little bit.

3.) A stretch center would be huge for L.A., but Ayton and Hayes are traditional bigs. Thus they must dominate the boards. Dominate rebounds you dominate possessions. You can only score when you have the ball.

4.) If Luka returns, he must be the point guard he truly is while still maintaining his clutch shooting. If he is a liability on defense. He very well may become a liability regardless of his offensive contributions.

5.) Rui is an X factor who will be key to banging with Chet as well as stretching the defense. He may very well see time at the 4 or 5 alongside LeBron in order to create a lineup where the entire court is live.

We shall see boys and girls. Get your popcorn ready.

But hey... This is just my opinion. What say you.

Supreme Court Ruling on Section 2 of 1965 Voting Rights Act

Because I stand on the shoulders of Giants. I have drawn the following conclusions as follows:

1.) Life comes down to behavior and resources. Thus, politics is rooted in the rules governing resources based on beavior.

2.) Insecurity and scarcity mindset is at the crux of our woes.

3.) The greatest sin on this planet is sexism. Demean the woman ie the equal co-branch of life. The rest of the demonization becomes a cakewalk. The tone of our existence right now can be attributed to the roots of not being in harmony with our Women as a planet.

4.) All there is in life is us, nature, and what we create. To acknoeledge this idea means we have all the power to do anything we want whenever we want within the laws of nature and in some cases beyond those laws.

As grown adults to actively and knowingly choose conflict. It is fascinating, deflating, and I would argue light years away from our true potential or optimal intelligence.

Yet here we are.

Voting is important. The political pillar of our society is a foundational piece of the fabric of this nation. Alongside the economic pillar and social pillar, the political pillar serves a definitive purpose.

Despite how it may function, at miminum we owe it to those who gave their lives, dignity, and even more to exercise our right to vote.

In terms of the function of politics. That is a horse of a completely different color. Politics works either through compromise, coalitions, or corruption. Sometimes all three are at play. Sometimes only one is in play. I'll let you guess which one or combination of the three is/are and has been in play in this nation since it's "founding."

Politicians are people that are a part of our communities. They are our friends, families, former classmates, husbands, wives, friends, loved ones, people you may not care for ect.

If they so choose to request the vote of their fellow constituents for a particular role within the political pillar. As a group, they come together via elections to function as government.

However, the system is the system. No matter who runs the store. The store is the store

The Love of The Game

Basketball is a sport that is rewarding as soon as you pick-up the ball. The sound of the "ting" as that round rubber or leather beacon of joy, growth, competition, and love is a sound that echoes straight from the heavens.

I'm just a fan of the game who is deeply in love with every aspect of this sport. So let's discuss the sport through the eyes of a Memphis hooper.

1.) Memphis is a football city. We are just in the heart of SEC country. Not having a conference for our college team that can compare to the SEC in football creates the perfect segway to dominate in basketball.

Combine the physicality of football with the essence, that Memphis Izm, you get player's like Penny Hardaway, Elliott Perry, Andre Turner, Keith Lee, Robert O' Kelly, Dane Bradshaw, Joe Jackson, Jimmy "Snap" Hunter, Tony Harris, Ishmael Joyce , Dee Wilkes , Melvin Wilkes Jeremy Hunt, Anthony Douglas, Marcus Smooth Moody , Wayne Moody, Jamie Rosser, Elliot Williams, Kennedy Chandler, Ian Clark, Chris Chiooza, Scooter McFaden, Cedric Henderson, Seann Williams, Lorenzen Wright, Ernest Shelton, J.P. Prince, Chris Garner, Fred Smith Jr., Eric Draper, and the list goes on and on.

Yet, despite this short list of a list longer than Lamar. We are still a football city and region that is a hotbed for real hooping.

2.) When speaking the game of basketball versus the game of football. The average fan in Memphis will talk football with consistent detail on routes, field positioning, and the game within the game.

The average Memphis fan has more of an overarching view of the game of basketball that lacks the same level of detail that same fan of football will share. There is little to no discussion regarding the game within the game. Don't take my word for it. Find out for yourself.

The fact the average Memphis fan doesn't even recognize Ja's basketball IQ is elite on a level like a LeBron while focusing on off the court issues or his lack of availability is a small sample size of that lack of true understanding of the game of basketball while still being a die hard fan.

Yet we still are hoopers in Memphis which again is

We're The Culture

"We're The Culture" is a phrase that is empowering, it is liberating, and it defines an aspect of existence that throughout history can be referenced visually, audibly, and spiritually around the globe and beyond.

This "Superpower" of being "The Culture" also seems to be underutilized as a tool to address the woes of this planet that plague us as citizens of humanity. It is stated more of a matter of fact than as a matter of need.

Right now in this moment. If "We're The Culture." I call upon us all to define our next moment in this very moment.

If "We're The Culture," then scalable, effortless, and immediate change rooted in Harmony, Prosperity, and Love is ours to claim and spread to any and all living species right now.

If "We're The Culture," then we are everything. If we are everything. We can do and be anything.

This isn't a magic wand, but in a way it is. There have been centuries of efforts, blood, sweat, and tears that have gone into making a better tomorrow. The work has been done.

The fruits of this labor are ready to be beared. The Universal Order isn't being bypassed. All is aligned with inmediate and instant change.

In this moment in 2026 or whatever time frame you choose. What better way to honor our forebearers and the shoulders upon which we all stand than to drive what we are, The Culture, as a guiding light to true liberation for all.

We are bearing witness to the alternative. So let's drive "The Culture" in this moment and beyond of every single second of every single day with deliberate intent.

But hey, this is just my opinion. What say you.

Blind Allegiance

1.) What LeBron said is an opinion. It's nothing more or less than an opinion.

2.) As a grown adult, being impacted by an opinion by another human about a planet which no human made at all, that a human was blessed enough to survive long enough to live on, and even forumlate an opinion, on a land that was for all intents and purposes was stolen, that just so happen to have these places on this land known as cities. To think I am going to care in the least what any human has to say about said "city" which I live in is childish at best.

It's not worth an ounce of my energy. Yet here we are writing articles and acting all "outraged." In the same breathe, I don't hear the same sentiment about the Epstein Files or in the case of Memphis why is it that LeBron is making an objective point. Why isn't the energy comparable is a question I have.

Don't belive me. Talk to any number of North Mississippians. They don't speak too highly about Memphis. Yet when you tell a Memphian about the opinion of a North Mississippian about Memphis.

Ironically, the response sounds similar to LeBron's opinion about Memphis. The only difference is, Memphians are talking about North Mississippi. Oh that's right. They aren't celebrities even though they sound similar.

2.) The fact LeBron is echoing what has been expressed recently by both national media pundits as well as former and current professional players is to be noted.

3.) The only reason there seems to be this level of "outrage" is because we value celebrity over substance. Because if he was LeBron from O-Block. I think we all agree we would treat him and his opinions accordingly.

By the way the "accordingly" also is the same basis which creates the idea of even having a Star, Diamond, or Michelin rating.

We as humans subscribe to it all. We subscribe to the names, the brands, the labels, the insignias, the levels, the ratings, all of it.

In reality, if I get great service, and it's a great experience. That pretty much meets the standard of a human.

I don't want to diminish the ratings, but let's be honest. It's the age of AI. So let's act intelligent please. I love luxury expe
