Polymath Numismatics

Polymath Numismatics POLYMATH, n. Some famous polymaths include: Imhotep, Aristotle, Ibn Khaldun, Leonardo da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, H.G. Wells & Richard Posner.

(Greek polymatēs, "having learned much") The knowledge of many arts and sciences; acquaintance with many branches of learning or with various subjects. I myself am interested in Archaeology, History, Philosophy, Politics, Theology and of course Numismatics. I personally collect a variety of different coin types and sell a little bit of everything - which I take a great deal of care in cataloging.

I have had a long time love of things ancient and of coins. My maternal grandfather was a collector of American coins. He sat me down at a very early age with some wheat pennies, buffalo nickels and mercury dimes and taught me how to sort them by date and mintmarks and bought me my 1st Redbook a few years later when I turned 10. I had 2 male cousins who also collected coins and we shared this as boys do when we were young. I studied Greek and Hebrew at Bethany Lutheran College and also attended Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota where I took a broad smattering of classes on the topics of religion, philosophy, political science and anthropology.
