The Significant Need:
Every holiday season millions of families fellowship over a healthy Thanksgiving meal and every holiday many Wisconsin families will be forced to cope without these meals. Founded on principles of assisting downtrodden humanity and serving all of mankind, The Distinguished District of Wisconsin Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has committed themselves to fight seasonal hunger with its “1906lbs of Turkey Thanksgiving Initiative.” This initiative was specifically developed to combat seasonal hunger around the state of Wisconsin, and we need your help!
Our Goal:
Our goal is to garner the monetary support of the Brotherhood, Wisconsin residents, Community Leaders & local grocery establishments to reach or exceed our target of providing a full Thanksgiving meal for 300+ families throughout the state.
How You Can Help:
We are humbly requesting monetary donations with a desired ask of at least $30 per donor (which covers the costs of a full Thanksgiving meal for a family of 4). 100% of all monies collected will be used to purchase turkeys and other non-perishable food items, which will be distributed by the Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and community partners to families throughout the state. Deliveries will take place on Monday November 23rd through Wednesday November 25th. For all electronic payments please designate “1906lbs of Turkey” in description. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and your contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law.
