Resident writer Mary Holub takes us along on four incredible days exploring both the American and Canadian sides of the falls. Her highlights include Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds, Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara State Park, and an exhilarating zipline beside the rushing water. 🌊

Meet Shepherd Finnegan Kelly, better known as Shep, the three-year-old yellow Lab with a heart for fun and a serious case of FOMO. 🐾

Before anyone throws his ball, Shep spins in a circle exactly three times. He loves attention, playtime, and just about anything edible, but nothing compares to being included in the family pool festivities. 🎾

“Shep likes to be invited to every single pool party and will cry inside if he’s not invited outside to swim,” Lisa Kelly shares. 💬

Around the Kelly home, every good gathering is better when Shep gets his invitation. 😊

What started as one neighbor helping another has grown into a Woodforest business caring for more than 700 pets. 🐾

WoFo Pets began in 2019 when Tasha Hanks responded to a Facebook post from neighbors who needed someone to visit their dog and new puppy during the workday. 💗

Today, WoFo Pets serves more than 350 families with a team of 16 pet sitters, all Woodforest residents. Built entirely through word of mouth, the business has expanded into surrounding neighborhoods while keeping personalized, compassionate care at its heart. 🏡

It’s a wonderful example of what can grow when neighbors simply show up for one another. 🤗

In this month’s Kids Corner, Woodforest resident and junior writer Victor Anderson shares an inspiring story about setting goals, working hard, and discovering the confidence that comes from accomplishing something you once thought was out of reach. 💪

Victor is already putting that message into action himself. He recently published his second book, Mike and the Marvelous Machine, another exciting milestone for this talented young neighbor. 📚
