EVENT TIME!!

When: Monday, November 10 @ 5:30 pm
Where: Northwestern State University Student Union Ballroom

NASA is excited to cosponsor the annual celebration of Native filmmaking with the screening of the 2023 Film, Fancy Dance. This film highlights Native-made films and invites the public to share the cultures, so please come celebrate the rich cultures of Native Americans during National Native American Heritage Month with us!

Pizza and drinks will be provided.

Choctaw-Apache Tribe of Ebarb pow wow this past weekend we were surprised, blessed, honored with a blanket dance, and lots of support from the community! Even though painful sunburns after, our officers enjoyed their time at the pow wow! We are taking annotations and notes for our upcoming on campus pow wow set for Novemeber 15, 2025.

Some of our officers attended the Choctaw-Apache Tribe of Ebarb pow wow this past weekend and fundraised with raffle baskets.
We enjoyed good food and community!

Apache Voices Book Talk and Reading on April 23, we gifted Dr. Caldwell and Professor Parrie with blankets made. Many came out to enjoy this event!

We had a successful Indian Taco Fundraiser yesterday (pre-orders only) !! I think i can speak for everyone in saying we had fun making the frybread and seeing everyone pick up their orders. Huge thank you to everyone that placed an order or donated! With orders and donations we made....$207!! We're one step closer to our on campus pow wow in November and the excitement is growing!

Its INDIAN TACO TIME!
NSU NASA is holding an Indian taco fundraiser to raise money for our FIRST Native American student-led on campus Pow Wow set for November 15, 2025.
We will deliver to Natchitoches area and have pickup available.
Plates are $12 each and include choice of canned drink. Will be ready from 11 am-1 pm.

Get your orders in before April 8th @ 6pm. Tacos will be made April 10th!!!

The purpose of NASA is to share culture, find community, and organize cultural events to educate others. Membership is open to all NSU students, however anyone and everyone can support and follow along! We are so excited to bring new things this year and can't wait to see what the year has in store for us!!
