As the founding chapter, we are committed to service, leadership, and building genuine sisterhood rooted in excellence and integrity. was founded on 19 June 24 to create a space where women could lead, serve, and grow together while honoring the unique experiences of military and military-connected women. A few hours together can do wonders for the soul.

Between the laughter, conversations, encouragement, and memories made, today was a reminder that sisterhood is one of our greatest gifts. Moments like these remind us that the heart of our organization isnโ€™t found in a title or position. Itโ€™s found in the connections we build, the support we give, and the women who become family along the way.

Today, we honor Juneteenth. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’š

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, the day enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

It is a day of remembrance, reflection, resilience, and celebration of Black history, culture, and progress. It reminds us of the strength of those who came before us and the importance of continuing to push for justice, equity, and unity in our communities.

Today, we proudly celebrate Founderโ€™s Day and honor the woman whose vision brought Theta Alpha Mu Military Sorority, Inc. to life.

On June 19, 2024, Founder Tamara Smith-Thomas established Theta Alpha Mu Military Sorority, Inc. with a mission rooted in Service, Trust, Reliability, and Transparency. Through her leadership, dedication, and commitment to creating a meaningful sisterhood for military women, a vision became an organization that continues to grow and make an impact.

Today, we recognize and thank Founder Tamara Smith-Thomas for her courage to build something lasting, her belief in the power of sisterhood, and her unwavering commitment to service.

As we celebrate this milestone, we also celebrate the legacy she began and the future we continue to build together.

June is the month of the Army, and today we celebrate 251 years of service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our nation.

Since June 14, 1775, the United States Army has stood ready to defend our freedoms, answer the call to serve, and support communities at home and abroad. For more than two centuries, generations of Soldiers have demonstrated courage, resilience, and selfless service in the face of every challenge.

June is National PTSD Awareness Month. ๐Ÿ’™

This month, Alpha Chapter stands with the service members, veterans, military families, and individuals living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

PTSD is not weakness. It is not failure. It is a real and often invisible result of trauma that deserves compassion, understanding, support, and care.

To those carrying battles others cannot see, please know this:
You are not alone.
Your story matters.
Your healing matters.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.
